Norfolk Southern Intermodal Norfolk Southern operates the most extensive intermodal network in the East.
NS/Triple Crown Intermodal Triple Crown Services is one of Norfolk Southern’s subsidiaries. It provides bimodal door-to-door truckload service that safely transports your goods and eliminates the risk of damage.

City of St. Louis Municipal River Terminal Located about 1.5 miles north of the Arch, the MRT has a 2,000’ dock, open and closed storage, and direct access to barge, rail, and truck transport. This fall it expects to sign a long-term operator lease with a major national terminal company that moves goods all around the globe.

Port Districts

Organization Description
Americas Central Port America’s Central Port®, which is managed by the Tri-City Regional Port District, is strategically located in the heart of the U.S. on the Mississippi River and adjacent to an excellent highway system. The Port, and its tenants, offers a wide range of services and facilities, including: barge, rail and truck commodity transfer; industrial, commercial and residential development sites; and warehouse and commercial lease opportunities.
St. Louis City Port Located along the city’s 19-mile riverfront, the city’s Port District comprises over 6,000 acres of manufacturing, shipping, and commercial facilities. The Port itself leases approximately 60% of the river frontage to major barge lines, Class 1 and short-line railroads, terminaling companies, and various bulk commodity and project-cargo shippers.

Jefferson County Port Established in 1976, this multimodal Port System for Jefferson County has just completed a major feasibility study.
Kaskaskia Regional Port District The Kaskaskia Regional Port District was created in 1965 to be the local economic development entity focused on the rivers and the territory in Monroe, Randolph and the southern half of St. Clair Co.
Southwest Regional Port The port district includes the townships of Canteen, Centerville, East St. Louis, Stites, and Sugar Loaf in St. Clair County; maintains port, terminal, and airport facilities; promotes industrial, commercial, and recreational development.
